Support our Troops (WATCH THIS!)WOW!!! I hope EVERY CBS Sportsline member watches that trailer, AND the Movie!! Although I strongly disagree with the war at hand, I FULLY SUPPORT OUR TROOPS!!!! And if ANY Armed Forces personnel should happen to read this post, THANK YOU!!!! From the bottom of my heart!! I admire your courage, strength, and dedication to your fellow countrymen, and OUR country! I really don't see the relevance in having our troops in the middle east ANY LONGER!! It's doing NOTHING for our economy, not to mention elevating gas prices!!! Why are we risking our troops' lives in an endless, pointless battle?? I say bring them home, and start worrying about in-house problems, such as homelessness, jobs, healthcare........ |

This video will change your view on the warI'm very new to cbssports and I was looking for blogs and message boards to try to get to know ppl and post my opinions and I stumbled on this. I'm glad I did because I had a blog about the war on my myspace but not one person posted a reply after months and months so I deleted it. I've been dying to find someone to chat with about the war. It's nice to finally see I'm not the only one who takes it seriously. I, too, think it's long past time for our troops to come home. Tho I greatly appreciate what they have done to get justice for the victims of 9/11 and their families, I think we have done what we went there to do and now it's time to quit while we're ahead. I think this has turned into Mr. George W. Bush's desire to make daddy happy by finishing what daddy started in Desert Storm. I firmly believe that he couldn't care less about what has happened to our people and our buildings. This is all about making sure he has a place firmly implanted in the history books. As a matter of fact, I've read up on 9/11 and I watched 'inside 9/11' and 'inside 9/11part two' on the National Geographic channel. By doing so I've learned that there is alot of situations that make it look very much like he and the department of defense and homeland security knew it was coming due to an earlier chain of events and did nothing to stop it. They needed a reason to go over there and try to take over the oil industry. This was their perfect opportunity. I know I probably sound paranoid but when a reporter says that he called homeland security and told them that a jihad meeting was taking place right in front of him talking about killing all american infidels and they tell him he's lying and do not follow up on it that makes you wonder why, don't it? Something as serious as a jihad meeting (for ppl who don't know jihad means 'holy war') about killing our women and children and blowing up buildings should have been investigated. There is also a lot of reason to believe that they knew that the first attempt on the World Trade Center was to bring it down and that homeland security recieved a letter telling them it would be attempted again and this time they would make sure they succeeded yet nothing was done to protect the two towers and the people inside. I'm just blabbing on. Sorry, I tend to do that. I do not want our troops there anymore. It will do no good for us or them. The longer we are there the more they will hate us. They see us being there as us trying to bully them around and we don't need them to get hostile again. Seriously, can someone please tell me why we are in Iraq in the first place? I mean, believe me, I'm happy we caught Sadam Hussein but weren't we supposed to be looking for Osama Bin Laden?? I think he may be hiding in Pakistan but I don't know. Part of me believes he's already dead and they don't know because they never found his body but what do I know? If I sound ignorant to you then I'm terribly sorry. I'm very naive when it comes to politics and war but I know what I've read and seen and it seems to me that something fishy is going on over there. My only hope is that whoever becomes president this coming election brings our troops home. Thanx for taking the time to read my babbling. Take care and God Bless. Go Red Sox!! :)

This video will change your view on the warThank you bronco4like24 for making me feel welcome. I'm new to cbssports and It's nice to know that, tho you have different views, you were very nice about it and I appreciate that! I've never been for the war but that's just cuz I hate fighting and violence and wish there were other ways. If we could go there and kill the assholes that killed our innocent ppl without our troops dying then I'd be all for it. I just hate good ppl dying. One of the guys who went missing there, Alex Jimenez, from Lawrence was a guy who came in my store everyday. He was so young and left behind a very young wife. The whole city had a parade/candlelit vigil for him and his family. I felt so bad. I just think ppl are dying needlessly. There's just gotta be another way... Also, to the guy who said 'sounds like commy crap'...That is just disgusting and vile. You show your ignorance and immaturity with that one statement. Grow up!! |

This video will change your view on the warThank you for the post, Bronc. I will be coming home in about 2 months, finishing out my 15 month tour. It's nice to see people respect and honor troops without a hidden agenda. God bless those who have fallen, and especially: PFC Wilfred Bellard (April 4, 2003), SPC Daniel Cunningham (April 4, 2003), CPT Tristan Aitken (April 4, 2003), and SGT Christopher Taylor (July 24, 2005), with whom I've had the honor of serving. And, may God continue to bless those who willing face other's fears, so they can sleep peacefully. |

This video will change your view on the warNo problem. I have been influenced by people around me who have been in the war or wars from the past and how to respect it. I respect the men and women that go over there and fight for our country. I think that guy in the movie was right. Everybody owes something to this country. For some sadly it's their lives. I hope you come home safely. And i hope you enjoyed the video. |
